A single transcript is easy. A 200-video channel is a weekend project. This tool handles the repetitive part: finding available caption tracks, formatting them consistently, and packaging bulk results with a manifest that says exactly what worked and what did not.
Fast where it can be, honest where it cannot
Previously fetched transcripts live in a permanent cache and can return almost immediately. New transcripts have to be requested carefully, so they arrive through a visible queue. Your job page is bookmarkable and keeps its progress after a refresh.
One hard boundary: BulkTranscripts never downloads video or audio. It works only with caption tracks made available for public videos.
A useful file, not a content library
There is no public transcript directory and transcript pages are kept out of search engines. Each video's rights holder still owns the underlying words. BulkTranscripts is a formatting utility; what you may do with a transcript depends on copyright, fair use, licenses, and your context.
The small promise
Minimal interface, plain-language failures, no ads at launch, and no pretending a cold thousand-video channel is instant. Just a good tool that gets quieter as its cache gets better.
